What is here
Calculators for US silver and gold coins, world silver and gold coins, multi-metal bullion by weight, sterling and scrap silver alloys, and karat scrap gold from 8K to 24K. Each calculator uses the live silver, gold, platinum and palladium spot price — refreshing every minute — and lets you override the spot to model a different scenario.
Where the numbers come from
Coin gross weight and fineness come from US Mint, Royal Canadian Mint, Royal Mint, Banco de México and other published mint specifications. Actual silver weight (ASW) and gold weight (AGW) are computed from those gross figures, not approximated.
Spot prices are pulled from a public spot-price feed and cached briefly on our server. They are reference prices, not dealer quotes.
